When I first started reading this book, it was very difficult to get into, especially since I was in my early teens and this book is definitely intended for a much older audience. However, if you put in the work in takes to push through, you will be rewarded in spades. The meticulous detail here is astounding and the world described is simply beautiful. The story is rich in drama and descriptions, and though it is definitely not an easy read, if you just bear with it (pun intended) it can be one of the most interesting books on the subject found anywhere.
